Ellen Ring’s goal is to offer a diverse selection of beautiful, wearable and well-designed jewelry from the early 1800’s through the 1980’s. She is passionate about beautiful jewelry and on occasion, she finds modern pieces she just can’t pass up. Through her frequent travels, she is always on the look out for Victorian gold jewelry, Edwardian platinum and 18kt gold rings and earrings, Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts, and Art Deco necklaces, pins and bracelets. Her most recent addiction is the fabulous gold, diamond, ruby and sapphire jewelry of the 1940s.
She has also recently begun buying signed pieces from Tiffany, Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels and Henry Dunay to name but a few. The better the quality and design, the more appealing to her senses and to those of her loyal clientele.
Ellen has been involved in the jewelry business for 16 years and exhibits at antiques shows in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Virginia and Massachusetts. Her passion is evident when she talks to her customers about jewelry and loves to educate them.
She has lectured on the history of jewelry, specializing in the Victorian era, is a frequent attendee at the Antique and Period Jewelry and Gemstone Conference and is a member of The American Society of Jewelry Historians.
After 15 years of living in NYC, Ellen moved to The Berkshires in 1999 where she now lives with her dog, Callie who has so many friends that she’ll never let Ellen live anywhere else!
Open 7 days a week 10-5 from Memorial Day through December 31st.
Winter hours: closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
